Where's the Fat?

By the time I got out of High School it was widely known that all you had to do to lose weight was cut out the fat.  Then came all the no and low fat foods which were highly processed and we gobbled them up while thinking we were losing weight and bettering our health.  Little did we know we were eating tasteless food that had the opposite affect on us.

In reality we need to consume 50 - 70% of our calories from fat.  Yep good ole fat, even saturated fat.  Looking back at our parents and grandparents and now realize they were on to something in cooking everything with lard.  Our bodies need the fat to build cells and produce hormones.  Fat doesn't stay in the body it helps moves things around and takes toxins out.

So it seems to lose weight we need less carbs and more fat!
